The risk of an accident involving injury or death is about seven times greater for 17-20 year olds than for those aged 40 or over.
As part of our continuous commitment to improving driver safety, Roadwise Driver Training has pioneered a comprehensive Pre-17 course in the North-East of Scotland. The training is designed to prepare and equip young people for the challenges of negotiating the mainstream road traffic environment.
In the stress-free surroundings of an off-road facility and with the friendly, expert guidance of a qualified instructor, the young learner has the opportunity:
- to become familiar with the control and performance of a car in a safe, off-road environment.
- to boost their confidence and not be apprehensive about that first driving lesson on the road.
Pre-17 Training is most effective if undertaken three to six months prior to a persons 17th birthday. A provisional driving licence is not required.
