Road Safety Course for Young People in North Marr

A while ago we published a piece on our blog about incredible work of the Rrrrrallye Team charity in educating young drivers from the North-East of Scotland.

Yesterday we had another great Rrrrallye event at the Grampian Transport Museum Trust. Linda Harper brought together 12 young people, aged between 14 and 17 years old from the Alford and Huntly areas for off-road tuition. Her organisational skills were, as usual, exceptional and it was a delight to work with the group. The feedback from the youngsters and their parents was very rewarding and it was a pleasure to see one of the participants rise to the challenge and demonstrate to Alan Sibbald from the Garioch & North Marr Community Safety Group what had been learned from the session. Alan was suitably impressed with the skill levels achieved as the youngster drove him round the track, virtually unaided.

Special thanks to the Garioch and North Marr Community Safety Group for sponsoring the event.  To read more about the event, please visit Aberdeenshire Community Safety Partnership website
