New drivers are more likely to have a road traffic collision in the first year after passing their test than at any other time in their motoring career.
Pass Plus is a Government initiative, supported by the Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and a range of UK car insurers. It encourages those who have just passed their driving test to become safer and better drivers.
Roadwise builds on this nationwide scheme with our own custom-designed Pass Plus Course, which offers participants the opportunity to experience practical training in-town driving, on motorways, dual carriageways and rural roads together with night driving and all weather conditions.
A Pass Plus day delivered by a registered Instructor involves 2 participants having the opportunity, in an 8 hour ‘Away Day’, to experience each of the first 4 modules. The course is completed by separate sessions in night driving and driving in difficult weather conditions.
Once you’ve completed this course you may be able to get a car insurance discount. For this you will need your Pass Plus certificate issued by our registered Instructor.
The Aberdeenshire Community Safety Partnership is running a pilot trial offering £100 towards the cost of the Pass Plus driving course for young drivers under 25 years of age.
